The success of our small business is directly related to the success of yours and that of your community's. Therefore, we think it is only good business that we support Eastern Washington's local small businesses and their communities.
Our print and web marketing may many times be the first information a future member of your community will see. And they do want to learn about the local businesses that will be providing their goods and services.
Our goal is to provide Eastern Washington's small businesses, especially those that may not have the resources otherwise, the ability to gain some internet exposure and as inexpensively as possible. We will also provide free of charge, ad space for any Eastern Washington community events that are of a benefit to their local economy and that of its small businesses.Website Advertising
For the past couple of years, the
statistics show that the majority of our users have been viewing our website with higher resolution, wide screen displays. Because our website displays at a fixed size, this can leave quite a bit of empty window space around our display. We came to the conclusion that we wanted to utilize this available area for something that was community oriented and would enhance the uniqueness of our website as well.
We have seen how important Eastern Washington's local small businesses are to their communities and being a local small business ourselves, we know how difficult and expensive it can be to have any kind of web presence. Because we are fortunate to have some internet capabilities not available to all, we were able to develop a program that would allow us to offer other small businesses, organizations and their communities some internet exposure at very little or no expense.

Print Advertising
The new Katz Realty, Inc. Real Estate Guide will be distributed throughout Lincoln, Grant, Adams, Ferry, Stevens, and Spokane counties. We have over 100 locations secured so far and are estimating another 100+ before we go to print. Past distribution and future projections calculate our circulation should reach over 40,000 issues. New issues will be put out every quarter and kept stocked in the locations throughout that time. The Guide will also be available online for even more exposure.
This publication is quite popular and tends to be kept for a while. It is not uncommon for us to be contacted by means of a paper published years previous.
As with the web advertising, we wanted to help other small businesses by offering them the opportunity to advertise in our publication at very little expense.

Website Advertising FAQ
Free display for community events? Absolutely! If your community or organization is having or annually has a major event that brings people to your community and financially benefits both your community and it's small businesses, we will be glad to display these ads at no charge and can even automate the process so that your ad displays at the appropriate time every year.
What do you need to create my ad? Our design goal is to create your ad using imagery that the internet viewer will recognize when they do visit your business or website. Photos of your establishment, both inside and outside, business cards, logos, previously used promotional materials and anything else that represents your business can be used. If you already have a design idea, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
I already have an ad. Can I use it? Absolutely, and we'll waive the $25 setup fee too! Just keep in mind that we need the ad to be 300 pixels wide by 250 pixels tall
(
IAB standards). If not, we may be able to make some adjustments to your ad image but won't be able to guarantee that it will display clearly or utilize all of the available space.
If a user clicks on my ad, will it take them to my website? Yes. Ads displayed on our website will be configured by default to open a new browser tab displaying your website or an alternate website of your choosing.
What if I don't have a website? There is nothing wrong with having a static ad, but there may be other websites that already have positive information about your business that we can link your ad to.
maps.google.com is a good one as it allows the user to quickly get directions to your business location.
Where else can I put my ad on the internet, preferably for free? There are many; google, yahoo, facebook, craigslist and probably many more but we suggest that your first step, if you have not done so already, is to create a free Google and Yahoo account and get established there first. This will provide the greatest chance of internet users being able to locate your business, both providing mapping and both will allow you to display your ad.
Your website allows the user to turn off the advertising. How are they going to see my ad? We believe these ads are unique enough and will be of interest to most of our users that they won't turn off the advertising. But, our primary duty is to our real estate buyers and sellers, some of whom we represent, to provide users the ability to view and use our website in the manner they wish.
When is payment due for my advertising? Payment is due upon your acceptance of the ad created or at the time your submitted ad is approved. The monthly fee can be paid at the first of the month or in a bulk sum for a predetermined amount of time. If payment is over 5 days late, the ad will be turned off.

Who creates the ad for the Real Estate Guide? We have an in-house graphic design artist that can put together an ad for you using information that you provide. We can also use logos, pictures, artwork, etc. that you provide to us. However, because of the very low ad set-up fee, limited time is spent on each ad.
Can I create my own ad? Yes! You may create your own ad or you may use an ad you already have. However, the ad must fit in the 3"x1.75" dimensions allowed. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee ad print quality of an ad created elsewhere.
What does it cost to advertise in the Katz Realty, Inc. Real Estate Guide? To help our local businesses in this hard economic time we are keeping costs to a minimum. A 3" X 1.75" color ad is only $45.00 for a 3 month run and a black and white ad is only $25.00 for a 3 month run. There is a one time setup/ad creation fee of $25.00.
Why is the cost for ads in the guide so much more than your internet advertising? We are fortunate enough to have our web site created, updated and hosted completely in-house. We placed our fees at rock bottom to help our advertisers during this bad economic time. However, the printing and distribution of the Guide is outsourced. Our rates are just a miniscule amount of what it costs to print and distribute this publication to all the locations already secured.
How many ads are available in the Guide? The Guide is a limited page publication with only 5 pages available for black & white ads ( 10 ads total ) and 6 pages available for color ads (12 ads total). Ads are sold at a first come, first served basis.
Do you give a discount for advertising in both the Guide and the web site? Yes! If you place an ad in the Guide and also wish to advertise on the web site, your ad set-up fee for both venues will be completely waived! That's a $50.00 savings! *Web site ad will run the full length of the agreed upon length of the Guide ad at the normal monthly rate.*
When is payment due for my advertising? Payment is due upon your acceptance of the ad created or approval of your ad submitted. If payment is not received prior to printing, it will be pulled from the copy.
